Serena and Neil created the most epic multi-day adventure for their wedding experience. On day 1 they woke up at 3am for their sunrise elopement ceremony in a hot air balloon with their two best friends (maid of honour & best man) present to be witness. The balloon took off just as the sun was rising, making for the most beautiful sunrise ceremony in the sky. They were led through a heartfelt, hilarious and personalised ceremony by the fabulous Weddings By The Beard. Let's just say everyone was ginning ear to ear. It was the most beautiful moment and made so incredibly special for these two by everyone present.

On the decent, the pilot, Harry, let us know that there is a chance the balloon may tip on landing due to the wind that day. Serena immediately was filled with excitement and started wishing that the balloon would tip! She was truly in the for the ultimate adventure. And her wishes came true, upon landing, we hit the ground and slowly, almost gracefully, the basket tipped on its side. It was such a fun way to end such an incredible experience. To quote Serena in that moment, she said "YES! This is what I paid for!". 

We paraded around the paddock in the golden light, capturing the moment for these two, before parting ways until the next day. 

The following morning, at sunrise again, we met back up with Serena & Neil, at their airbnb this time. We photographed them in their traditional attire in the golden light, and even incorporating Neil's baby aka his car into the photo time. We documented them getting ready with their best friends. Neil's best man helping him suit up for the celebrations ahead! Whilst Serena's best friend did her hair for her, and then they shared in a beautiful first look suprising each other with their outfits. 

Then Neil and Serena shared in a first look as well. Serena wore a different dress on her ceremony day, so they could share in this special moment on their reception day. During their first look, Serena put Neil's tie on for him. It was a sweet and sentimental touch to their glorious adventure. 

From here we headed off to the Redwood Forest to get some incredible portraits and explore another amazing area in the region they eloped in. Their best friends joined us, and we had a ball of a time exploring and running wild in the forest. 

From here we went back to their accommodation, where their incredible team set up a beautifully styled and catered lunch for them to celebrate with their friends and family. Shoutout to Floss & Fleur and Bow Creative for the most amazing styled setting. Their friends MC'ed and played a live band. And they enjoyed an afternoon on the property soaking in everyones love and sharing in their experience with them all. All of Serena and Neil's family and friends quoted the entire wedding experience, balloon included, by saying "this is just so them".

These two embraced who they are, broke all the rules, yet kept the traditions that were meaningful to them. It was the most amazing two days of celebrations and a wedding we will forever fondly look back upon. Thank you Serena & Neil for inviting us to capture your greatest adventure!
