Lia and Travis’ intimate elopement in Port Douglas, Australia, was nothing short of magical. Traveling all the way from the USA, this adventurous couple sought a serene and private celebration of their love, and what better place than the lush, tropical paradise of Far North Queensland?

Their day began in the comfort of their private villa at Niramaya Resort. They got ready together in peaceful solitude, before heading to a charming little hut nestled within the resort for their intimate ceremony. True to the tropical vibe of the wet season, the rain began just as the ceremony was about to start. But instead of dampening the mood, it only added to the serene atmosphere. The sound of rain, combined with a nearby stream, created the most peaceful spa like soundtrack as they exchanged vows and became husband and wife. As we signed as their witnesses, the rain miraculously stopped, leaving us all with clear skies and a sense of new beginnings.

After their ceremony, they went back to their villa to freshen up and video call their families back in America. They took a few moments to truly soak in the experience and share in the "just married" feels with their loved ones back home. Although it was the middle of the night in the states, their families stayed up and couldn't wait to be filled in on the adventures of their special day. They enjoyed a few moments alone, before the adventure part of the day began.

At this stage, the sun was out to stay, so we ventured out for some stunning photos around Port Douglas. From the palm-lined beaches at Thala Beach to the panoramic views at the hilltop bar, Lia and Travis embraced every moment, even drank from coconuts and played a spontaneous game of chess! Their adventure continued at Four Mile Beach, and we couldn’t resist visiting the stunning St. Mary's by the Sea Chapel, capturing more intimate photos around this iconic location.

The day ended with a private, candlelit picnic dinner back at their resort. With champagne, a charcuterie board, and a seafood platter—what better way to celebrate their love? 🍾

It was an absolute honour to witness and document Lia and Travis’ love story in one of the most beautiful parts of the world. We are so grateful for the chance to share in this intimate day with them and to help capture memories they’ll cherish forever.
