If you’re dreaming of a Lauriston Hills Estate wedding, Romy & Liam’s spring celebration is the perfect inspiration. This countryside property in Victoria offers the best of both worlds—European charm with an Australian backdrop—making it the ideal setting for couples who want a romantic yet relaxed day surrounded by nature.

On October 2nd, 2024, Romy & Liam tied the knot at Lauriston Hills Estate, celebrating their love with pastel tones, fresh spring blooms, and their closest family and friends.

Originally from Germany and England, Romy & Liam both moved to Australia as teenagers. Where they soon after met and boned over this shared similarity and their love story blossomed at 16.  For their wedding, they wanted a venue that celebrated their European roots while embracing their love for the Australian countryside. Lauriston Hills Estate delivered the perfect mix, romantic European charm with wide-open landscapes, and in springtime, it came alive with blossoms that matched their pastel colour theme.

The morning began with excitement and a whole lot of love. Romy and Liam got ready separately, each sharing quiet, meaningful moments with family before the big “I do.” Liam shared a first look with his mum—a proud exchange that set the tone for the day—while Romy had a beautiful first look with her dad before heading to the ceremony.

Guests arrived dressed in pastel shades, creating a picture-perfect backdrop for the ceremony. A violinist played softly as Romy walked herself down the aisle, meeting Liam at the altar. He turned to see her only when she was almost there, and the look on his face said everything. In a touching detail, both of their mums signed as witnesses, a heartfelt nod to family and the journey that brought everyone together.

After vows were exchanged, guests gathered for cocktail hour on the estate lawns. A grazing board buffet stretched across long tables, paired with spring sunshine and violin melodies. Romy & Liam mingled, laughed, and shared bites with their loved ones before wandering the property with us for portraits.

At one point, Romy realised she’d left her bouquet back in the cottage—the only flowers she had actually ordered (the rest were lovingly DIY’ed). Luckily, Liam spotted it when they ducked back in to freshen up, and the small moment of laughter became one of the sweetest, most “them” memories of the day.

As the sun set, everyone gathered for vegan pizzas and a delicious cake. It was relaxed, joyful, and full of connection—exactly how Romy & Liam envisioned their day. They danced under the stars, lit up sparklers, and filled the estate with laughter late into the night. The farmhouse and cottage on the property meant guests could stay close, and it turned the celebration into a true overnight gathering with family and friends.

More than anything, this day felt like Romy & Liam—playful, heartfelt, a little unconventional, and full of love. From the pastel dress code to the violin soundtrack, the laughter during portraits to the late-night dancing, their wedding was a celebration of who they are and the community that surrounds them.

It was such an honour to not only capture these moments, but to celebrate alongside two people we’re lucky to call of dear friends
